My name is Vitaly Pirshin. I am a winemaker and co-founder of Vivi Priamus, a boutique, small-batch wine project founded in 2023 in Montevideo, Uruguay. Vivi Priamus is a limited-production Uruguayan wine brand focused on creating fine wines to share with friends, family and loyal customers. We work with carefully selected local grapes and keep full personal control over the entire winemaking process — from grape selection and fermentation to ageing and bottling. Each year we produce very limited quantities, usually no more than 1,000 bottles of each wine per vintage, with a total annual production of around 5,000–6,000 bottles. I studied Enology and Viticulture at university and completed an internship in vineyards in Oregon, USA, where I gained solid technical and practical experience in modern winemaking. I chose Uruguay as the country to develop Vivi Priamus. After working a harvest at a winery in Montevideo and connecting deeply with the local terroir and winemaking traditions, I released the first Vivi Priamus wine in 2023 — a Merlot that quickly became the flagship wine and calling card of the project Every year Vivi Priamus produces small lots of wine, and our range grows annually as we renew and expand the collection. The Vivi Priamus range currently includes small-batch Merlot, Albariño, Semillón, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc, with new limited releases added every year. The signature Vivi Priamus style is elegant, fruit-forward wines with clear berry and stone-fruit aromas, fresh acidity and a smooth, drinkable profile. My special passion as a winemaker is to create wines with expressive berry and fruit aromas and flavours, wines you want to open, share and remember. Vivi Priamus wines have already received international recognition, with awards and high ratings in guides such as Descorchados and in reports by Tim Atkin MW, two of the most influential wine critics for South American wines.
